Your Donations in Action

When you donate to Griffin's Guardians, you can see your contribution in action. Check out all the great things that are happening in honor of Griffin:
  • We have begun a new program called Lighten your Load. We provide laundry supplies and quarters for the families at Golisano inpatient, to "Lighten their Load". 
  • We also provide Boxes of Sunshine to the moms, simply to brighten their day!
  • We have collected more than 700 newly sewn pillowcases from around the country to donate to Golisano Children's Hospital, to bring a smile to a child who has to spend the night in the hospital. Learn More
  • We are continuing to work with schools, churches, girl/boy scouts, and other organizations to run book drives throughout the year for Golisano.
  • Every June, we host our Movie Matinee Memory for families who have a child currently in treatment, to see a newly released movie at Regal in Destiny USA. We want to give these families time to be together, and time for the kids to "just be kids". It is also a way to connect with their new friends outside of the clinic.
  • We have have partnered with several schools, such as Elmcrest Elementary, Bear Road Elementary, and Cicero Elementary. We have collected more than 4,000 books to donate to the Golisano book closet. Learn More
Radiation Masks
We worked with the Radiation Oncology department to provide painting of the Radiation Masks that the children use during their treatment. They can celebrate the end of their treatment by having a local artist turn their Radiation Mask into their own hero. We have been fortunate to celebrate the completion of radiation for two beautiful children. We celebrated that "look how far we've come" feeling with these brave families. 
Grace's Sibling Sunshine

Grace's Sibling Sunshine was created by Grace Engle in honor of her brother, Griffin. Throughout Griffin's battle with cancer, Grace realized the importance of not only helping the child with cancer, but the siblings as well, "because they too are going through a hard time, too"
 
She and a group of friends have created beautiful artwork, crafts, and jewelry to sell at events. The money raised goes to this program. When we assist families, Grace will take the lead and help the siblings feel special, too.
