Change for Hope
"Welcome Packet" that each school ​will receive!
The Change for Hope Campaign runs each year during the month of February in schools across New York State. The purpose of the campaign is to collect spare change in each of the schools within their community, which in turn supports families dealing with this terrible disease. Since the program inception in 2020, more than 60 schools in Central New York have taken part in this campaign.
Each school assigns a Guardian(s) that will be the extension of Griffin’s Guardians. The role of the Guardian is to facilitate, coordinate, and answer any questions students and staff may have about the campaign or about Griffin’s Guardians. Each "Guardian" and school are able to decide how they want to run their Change for Hope Campaign. Some schools make it a competition between grades, some incorporate character traits and others set a goal for the whole school to meet. In addition, the Guardian can decide how long they wish to run the campaign for; 1 week, 2 weeks or a month! |
What is included in Campaign Packet • 5-gallon jug • Posters to be hung in the school • Letter that can be copied and sent home to students (available electronically) • Sign that can be copied and posted in classrooms • Sample of a fundraising tracker • Change for Hope video link to share with staff, families and students • Change for Hope T-Shirt for the Guardian
*If staff would like extra t-shirts for their campaign, you order one here. Inventory is limited! All extra shirts will be packaged up with the schools welcome packet. Please add your school's name in the notes of your order. Thank you! |
