The 6th Annual Gold Tie Gala​
It was an unforgettable night where our community came together to Shine Bright!



​Our 6th Annual Gold Tie Gala took place on September 17, 2022 at the Marriott Downtown Syracuse presented by Molly Elliott, Howard Hanna.

We once again achieved our goal for the sixth year with 375 attendees and netting over $75,000.00 during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!


This year’s theme was “Shining Bright so others can see through the darkness”.   We spoke about Griffin’s Guardians being the North Star to so many CNY families who are in need of light and hope!  Our guests were inspired and encouraged to brighten the path of those in the darkness and to always remember their path is illuminated by light, yet darkness lets the stars shine bright.

The Gold Tie Gala Video

Check out the video that premiered at the Gala! With the theme Shine Bright, the goal of the video was to show the impact of Griffin’s Guardians work with pediatric cancer patients and their families. The video was a great surprise to Erin, the Executive Director for Griffin’s Guardians, as she was not given any clues to what it would feature!

​Going Gold

​We asked National Grid to “Go Gold” the week of the gala in honor of Griffin and all the children battling Pediatric Cancer in our community. They graciously lit the path for our families and children, to help lead them out of darkness. These lights represent a community coming together today, tomorrow and of course the night of the event! We are beyond HONORED they fulfilled our request and have lit up the skies. A warm thank you to Ben Verette, for getting these incredible drone “shots” for us!
